Singapore's Ministry of Transport said it has not gotten any official warning from Malaysia with respect to the dropping of the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High-Speed Rail (HSR) venture.
This comes because of Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad declaring in a question and answer session on Monday that Malaysia would haul out of the arrangement with Singapore.
He had, in a prior meeting, refered to the need to get rid of superfluous tasks, one of them being the cross-outskirt HSR, which will cost Malaysia RM110bil and not win them "a solitary penny".
